Hi folks, new to road cycling and first post.
Bought a Battaglin Start from wiggle last summer and have been gradually racking up the miles. Very pleased with the bike and cant understand why it didnt get more press for a sub £600 machine!
The wheels are decent but the tyres are cheap £10 efforts and starting to wear out.
I'd like some recommendations for some good tyres (dont mind paying £20-£30 or so) which will serve me well. I dont race, dont do sportives (yet ) and just need something a bit lighter. I also want something thats pretty renowned for puncture resistance as I often have to cycle over gritty or broken glass surfaces to get to the nice places to ride.
One other thing, whilst out training ive previously been running at 120psi as its basically what i read other people used. I was experiencing a blot of buzz through the bars and discomofort. Ive backed off to about 95psi and things are a lot more comfortable. Is this a good psi to be riding at or too low?
Thanks muchly in advance for any pointers
cheers ears

Continental gatorskins are good too. I just pump my tyres up until there are hard to push on with my thumb; works ok for me.1998 Kona Cindercone in singlespeed commute spec

Thats about 84psi0 -
Gatorskins are a good call, good puncture resistance coupled with a low(ish) rolling resistance and a reasonable price.
