Yeah I saw the crashed rider at the bottom of White Down - hope he's ok!

Agree it was a good event, lucky with the weather, the last hill was definately painful!

We followed the course ahead of the event, not to interfere with the paying riders... a few thoughts

    1) Signage was scarce and at times difficult to spot

    2) A few warning signs were necessary down the big climbs, especially White Down, which has a vicious double bend

    3) The course was interesting and challenging enough for early spring... definitively enjoyed it

    4) Completed the course in just over 4 hours (riding time)... started one hour ahead (just after 8.00 AM) and stopped 20 minutes in a cafe' along the way... despite an average of 16 mph, we were caught by the fastest riders just after Combe Lane... some Dynamo guys, which to me says that someone takes some risks to post a good time... accidents are inevitable

I did this yesterday but started quite late, managed to eat up a lot of the field but then took a wrong turn with 4 other riders so ended up doing another 5 miles which didn't do anything for my time, but that wasn't really a big issue. I was more bothered at seeing how fit or unfit i am & to gauge where i am for future events like the Fred Whitton& The Dragon. I averaged just under 16.5mph but really struggled on that last big climb. Was that Coombe Lane? Gonna need a lot more ride time as i was knackered at the end!

Definately needed more sign posts, but the free tea & sandwich was a nice touch. A good ride i reckon. Was White Down in it, don't remember coming up it, or apparently coming down it?
