Hello all. New to this. Been on the road for about a year, got a specailized Allez which i like, but i seem to buckle my cpx 22 wheels all the time. Would like to get some new ones, im on the heavy side 104 kilos. ive got £200 to spend at the most. Any ideas? Many thanks, happy cycling

Ive also been thinking of new wheels to replace my fulcrum racing 7, and weigh 101kg. Ive been considering pro-lite merano. Can get them for just over £200 and think i read they are up to taking a heavy rider.

Worth looking as tome good strong rims in 32h given your weight I would imagen. Should be able to get some Mavic open pro rims built on to resonable hubs for that price. Failing that the Fulcrum 7s are about as good as factory wheels get for under £200 - can be had for £160 if you shop about, or 5s for a little over 200.

I have also got those wheels (CXP22 on a Specalised hub) and was having issues with needing to true it constantly. I complately rebuilt it with even tension and made sure there was no spoke twist and all has been well for several months now - so you may bust need them rebuilding by someone who knows what their doing!

Ring Harry and ask his advice. I got some Ambrosio Excellights on Ultegra hubs for £270 so you should be able to get the same build on 105 hubs for about £220. Harry will recommend a built based on you and your type of riding. Either way at your weight (similar to me) this will be the best route plus i like having something slightly unique.
