This shirt seems pretty cool, lots of ventilation, and hyperventilation for male spectators
I know MotoGP riders have airbags in their leathers but is there any need for them when cycling ?I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
Does the above not fall into a separate category, Coolest Cycling Base Layer in History ?0

I know its a bit new and not classic like all the others, but i really like the 2010 Liquigas jersey. Stands out really well, and also (I've got one) its very visible when I'm out riding.
Also second vote for the Quickstep jerseys (not the Omega Pharma quickstep, although its ok).0 -
I also very much like the Team Raleigh kits over the last couple of years, I can't decide which one is the best, though the 2012 kit has a good retro feel to it.

Always a big fan of the old PDM top
Although, I prefer the way the 7 Eleven jersey is modelled in the post above. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
Inspired by a few miniatures by Roger Fonderie0 -

I'm a big fan of the yellow ONCE shirt from a few years back. I thought the team always looked great when turned out for the TTT at the grand tours. If you can still get retro copies I'd certainly look to get one.
Can someone who is good at cut and paste post a picture of the ONCE shirt? I'm a bit of a Tw*t when it comes to computer knowhow.0 -
Nobody like the Brooklyn jersey? Defo a classic! Only problem was Rog used to ride so low, you couldn't see much of it. Think I might get one for Roubaix this year and drop a set of burns to match!

Interesting fact (or not), the company behind Brooklyn chewing gum is based outside Milan and the brand is only available in Italy. They also produce Mentos and bought Chupa Chups.0

I can't say I remember the black one but didn't they also have a pink strip and they would wear the yellow at the Giro and the pink at the Tour to stop falling foul of GC leader confusion? They certainly looked the business in the TTT's
I think part of my love of the yellow version is that it has a certain Kenny Roberts/Yamaha racing look about it.0 -

The black ONCE one is my pick. I was just going to post a picture of mine. You might have had a response from a pro cyclist on Twitter, you may even have chatted to a 'journo', but ultimately, you still know nothing. You're not an insider, no matter how much you wish you are.0 -
Surprised nobody as suggested this one.

As Obelix would tell you, vertical stripes are much more 'slimming'.The older I get the faster I was0

The clue was in the orginal post:Obviously we'd have to bar anything with national/world honours, plus race category jerseys...

This one perhaps?
I'm glad the photographer made sure you couldn't see his pony tail in that photo, think he was sporting it around that time?"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Thanks RonB, that's it. All the asymmetrical blobs and blotches of colour dashed on with smaller amounts of lined panel..that's good..whoever did the art work looks like they did it in 5 minutes..boring design templates are commonly used nowadays, for a while everyone in blue or all red...0 -

Thanks again Liquor box
Three great kits by ONCE, definitely ahead of their time. Take their black kit for example, how many teams have turned out in a (not so good) black kit in the last couple of years?
Any cool club kits out there?0 -

Sorry, but like the Mapei kit it looks like Monet's dog has eaten his pallette and puked it up again. I'm with you on the lack of interesting design templates though.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0
