Hi all,
Edited!!
OK i shall change the twenty question post basically i have a merlin malt 4 which i like, but are looking at a giant anthem x, as the full suspension bikes i have had before have all been over kill for what i do.
I ride bridleways, local stuff and trial centres.
So stick to the hardtail or try 100mm full suspension?

Whagt you gonna be riding on it? Or how do you like to ride?
100mm is a XC set up generally and with that you'll get steaper frame angles and the bike will generally feel steep and quick - it won't inspire confidence on steeper downhillesk descents.
The 140mm mark is going to be trail bike teritory - do it all bikes, slacker angles, handle everything. They will vary from light and quick and xc orientated to more all day bikes which handle better downhill.
Decide what you want to do first!!
Plus - if your enjoying you bike - why the urge for a new one?Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320 -
