Top Tube Length to your own height

I know that many other factors affect the right bike fit, I'm just interested in your physical height in comparison to your bike top tube length. I'm trying to get a sense of whether I can make a bike which maybe a little 'long' in the TT fit me with the right stem, without affecting handling too badly.

So how tall are you and what size do you ride?

    183cm and 57cm with a 10cm stem.

    5 ft 9 inches : 543mm top tube : size 54 medium frame: 100mm stem : 170mm cranks

    I'm a 170cm garden gnome and ride a size M Addict SL with a quoted virtual top tube length of 55cm but my tape measure says 54cm and a 8cm stem. Seat tube angle (cheers Styxd for reminding us) is 73.3 degrees, long reach, deep drop bar, no setback.
    What can I say, couldn't resist a bargain... As the frame is fairly conservatively sloped the standover height is only just low enough for me, causing much mirth in other roadies.

    Depends on how flexible (stiff) you are too. I like to stretch out and ride a 57cm with a 14cm stem. I'm 6'0".

    Height: 183cm/6ft in the morning... 182.5cm in the evening.
    TT length: 56cm - Giant Defy 2012 M/L size.

    72 degree Seat Angle (everyone seems to have missed this figure which is a pretty important one)
