Hi, I currently have RockShox Reacon Gold Forks on my bike. I am thinking of upgrading these but I am unsure what to go for, or should I stay with these? If anyone has any suggestions what to move on to with out busting the bank that would be great. Thanks

Wat is your budget? Anything wrong with what you have, is a good fork!0

I didn't want to go other £500. The rest of my bike runs on XT stuff and not really been a techy I was unsure if the forks were any good as these were on my bike when I bought it0

What travel is on a recon? I can't remember...
Either way - check out sale forks such as:

But £500 is alot of money. Are you just pimping your ride or is this actually for performance benefit (like SS said)?Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320 -
Yeah upgrade, why not, and I'll give you £50 for the recons?0

What bike do you have? As this will be a deciding factor in which forks you can fit to it.

I've just bought a 2011 rockshox reba RLT TI fork from Merlin Cycles for £350. It's an awesome fork for the money, and it also comes with blackbox motion damping. The travel is adjustable from 80mm-120mm so depends on the type of riding you're planning on doing.0

I am wanting it for performance. The travel is 140 on my current shocks, as I say I aren't really a techie so not sure if forks will improve my bike. I have upgraded my rims, hubs, gears and the last thing is my forks. I ride Dalby, Glentress, Yorkshire Moors, plus what ever I can get to and take part in a few local endurance events.0 -

I agree, although for £500 you could get the Revelation RCT3. Very happy with mine.A Flock of Birds
