Hi guys

Looking for a new bike, can only do it by mail order so can't test ride them.

My riding will be mainly trail centres and a few XC now and again.

What bike would you pick.....and why!?

I can highly recommend the Trance having just bought an X3. They ride brilliantly. My previous bike was a 150mm Enduro and I am still amazed by how the Trance sucks up the rough stuff. I would imagine the X2 is better again given the RP2 shock, XT rear mech and Elixir 5's. I would say the Trance X2 edges the stumpy comp on spec but it's probably down to personal preference.

Whichever you go for you will have an excellent bike for pretty much anything the UK has to ride (barring full on DH of course!)
If at first you don't succeed, spend some more money on kit!

    Thanks for the input :)

The Trance X2 is slowly becoming my fav!

Always wanted a stumpy but the looks of the Trance and the components along with the clear and straight top for carrying it on my saris bones bike rack makes it a winner in my eyes!

All I need to do now is to find out which of these companies will take cyclescheme plus cash payment on top!?

The geometry of the frames on these 2 bikes are so different I will at least sit on them before buying.

Loving my X3 - its a better bike than me so no need to spend any more (for a bit anyway)

I had a Trance now have a Reign, mate has a Trance and they handle a lot more than just trail centres, I did everthing on mine and it coped really well.

Spesh is a good bike so which ever you choose you will have a great new bike.

Trance is excellent. I loved mine but wanted something to handle a bit of freeride as well so got a Reign X now.
The Trance will definately fit your Saris Bones rack. My 2010 model with the bent top tube & 18" frame fitted fine.

Looks like the stumpy has fallen of the radar due to low stock.....so looks like the trance wins.

Before I pull the trigger on the trance x2, what's your thoughts on the following:

    GT sensor 2.0 2010

    http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/products.p ... 1b0s1p2481

Reason why I'm considering this is due to the initial outlay and using the cyclescheme to fund the lions share of the payment.

Basically I will have to pay:

    £815 for the Trance X2 2011.

    And

    £275 for the GT Sensor 2.0 2010

    A difference of £540.

Any advise on the savings and the GT???

Great bike for the money, Supersonic will be along soon and tell you everthing about GT.

If it was me I'd go for the GT at that price.
