Guys,

Tubs, how do u set urs??
Glue vs tufo or other tape??
Which is the safest??

I am thinking of tubs over clinchers for best summer wheels, but just want a quick and safe way to fix should the 'fairy' visit.

I use tape on road wheels and glue on my track wheels.

Araldite is good (though not commonly used) and allows a very strong bond that will ensure a suitable and safe rim and tire bond, can be used on either Carbon or Alu rims.
Tape should only be used to repair the tub, by wrapping around the tyre and rim - dont use too much though - or frame damage can occur.

My thoughts would be that araldite does not give a flexible bond. Continental do a great video along with some of the other manufaturers.

Not at 0814 but am i the only one who cant believe why people keep posting the same q's about tubs etc :!:
Its been done to death and on here only recently.

Jantex tape is good enough for road use. I have lifted the front tub once with it to move the valve back into position and it restuck fine so it could be ok for a 'get me home' measure.

Tape - used it for years and no worries at all: easier and cleaner than glue.
