    edit... Yes, carbon could be stonger than alu (on that test) but it melts in the sun :( do you guys think I should apply some suncream to the frame when the weather turns better?

    +1 for Ti

    Ride it all year, buff it if it gets scratched and never worry. The stuff you stick on it goes first. Why do bike shops tell people their carbon bike could be knackered if they really are so hard to break?
