hi guys,
i'm looking at new bikes again, but i just wondered how do the Rock Shox Revelation RL Air 2_P 120/150mm, Motion Control compare to my 2009 pike 409 coils?
will they take the same sort of abuse?
cheers

Pikes are a bit stronger... Question is, does it matter? Revs are still pretty sturdy, I reckon most people with Pikes don't need all that strength. What's your idea of abuse?
Damping performance'll depend on the damper, I think that model might get the DNA Moco and dualflow rebound damper? If so, that's a nice step forward. But not sure it does.Uncompromising extremist0 -
2012 Revs do get the dual flow DNA damper.0

cool cheers guys, they sound good.
i weight about 14 stone and i ride a bit of everything including DH on the pikes. just wondering really if the revs will hold up ok?0 -
Not to full on DH, no.0

Depends really... Mine are unfussed by fort william and innerleithen but then I don't downhill particularily fast Proper full throttle dh with all that comes with that, i'd say no. But then I wouldn't want to use Pikes for that either.Uncompromising extremist0

i'm being a bit optimistic really when i say DH
i mean i ride DH tracks but not flat out, so i guess they'll be ok0 -
They Revs are a lot lighter as well.0
