Well that was worthwhile. I rang customer services and explained that they'd put a leaflet through my door offering the same package I was on but £14 cheaper with 3 months fee to new customers. The attitude was one of tough, you can't have it. So I asked if I should leave them and then come back and was told "yes".
So I got put through to the relevant department. Couldn't have been nicer, total contrast to customer 'services'. I am now paying £14 les than I was and can have a free Tivo when I want it. She did say it might be best to wait as I don't have an HD telly. Any thoughts on that? How is Tivo on an old CRT telly?
    Thanks guys.

TiVo will work fine with CRT has a scary output. Get it if it's free.

Did it work? If not did you follow the option on the phone for 'if your thinking of leaving us?'

When I spoke to customer services they couldn't help but the disconnections (aka 2nd level customer services) team could. They were the people who arranged my current deal.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
