Noise coming from inside wheel rims

When I slowly turn my rear wheel (even if I do this by hand off the bike) I can hear a "tinkling" sound that appears to be bits falling around inside the Rim

I am using Halo Mercury wheels so they have a small 30mm aero rim.

All the spokes seem tight. Any ideas?

have you lost one inside your rim?

I had this problem on a set of Fulcrum. It turned out to be dirt inside the rim. Easily fixed by removing the tubes and tyres and giving them a good shake!

Thanks all. Problem fixed by removing some of the rim tape and giving a good shake.
