Whats everyones view on x-fusion forks and shocks?
Seem to be coming into light a bit more, seen a few bikes today with x-fusion kit front and rear... there seems to be a lot of hype about the at the mo, plus with Brian Lopes joining them a lot of reviews are expecting them to start competing with RS and Fox.
Anyone ridden any of the new stuff? Seems to get good reviews in BR..

I've got a set of last years velvets.
I've been impressed with them so far; however they're not quite as good as a revelation in my eyes. I only bought them because I got a good deal, and I'm not saying they're bad (the revs are just that good...).
Wouldn't have a worry running any of their other stuff; however last time I checked the support for them in the UK is less than for the bigger brands, so finding spares or getting them serivced might be a bit of a task. What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0 -
if money were'nt an issue at the mo.. or someone would take pitty on me and give me a job i would purchase a pair of forks for my hardtail,, they were scoring some excellent reviews in whistler last year.... from speaking to riders and bike shop peeps....www.bearbackbiking.com

They've got a new set of DH triple clamps that was broken by Pinkbike. There's lots of comments below from people running Vengence (their 170mm fork) that they trust X-Fusions ability to make a hard hitting fork. I think X-Fusion are going to be taking some awards for value for money soon...0

I think they might find it hard to get past their rep as being a low-end manufacturer tbh... No different to Suntour making some really nice kit and everyone saying "Oh, Suntour are crap" then choosing a Dart instead.Uncompromising extremist0

Im with you on this, but the new forks do get a great review in MBUK this month.0 -
A few bikes recently (within last year) with the X-fusion shock have had a pasting in MBUK for poor performance, but that seems to be more a case of mismatching of the shock to leverage ratio than an outright issue with the shocks themselves.
Remember when Shimano were the new kids on the block and SR Suntour and Sachs the established brands......

Velvet, comes second or third overall, great fork for the money.0 -
Just ordered a set of velvets in 120mm 15mm bolt through. ill have to post up my opinion once i have gave them a go.0

Velvets were reviewd in this months WMB, did very well.
Seems X Fusion are making a good name for themselves (and prices are rising). But the team did not like the cheaper Enix.
Still very hard to beat RS on price at the moment, the reduction on RRP in the UK are huge.0 -

Thanks in advance!0 -
i got mine from freeborn.co.uk they had to wait about 5 days to get them from x fusion as they only had 100mm and had to space them to 120 but that was not a problem.
The fork itself is fantastic its better than what my dt swiss fork felt. Has great clearance around the fork arch compared to the rockshox reba which was my only reason for not going for a reba.
For the money i find it very hard to beat with the 15mm bolt through it feels really stiff and tracks great i can get of my bike with fox forks on and onto the 1 with x fusion and not notice any real world difference they honestly feel that good.
I also believe Ibis were going to be doing there full builds with them on...0 -
I tried a Specialised Status with both X Fusion suspension and Rockshox/Fox suspension options and preferred the cheaper bike with the X Fusion fork and shock.
As for the comment above about no manufacturer's fitting Rockshox as standard my Reign X came with Lyriks and most higher spec DH bikes come with Boxxers.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
