Hi, first post so sorry for asking the obvious but..
is it OK to replace my 8sp 12-32 cassette with an 11-32?
I have read that the freehub might be a problem on older bikes, mine is a 2008 cannondale F6 on formula hubs.
Regards,

Nigel

As long as the new cassette is also 8 speed, there will be no problem. Your new cassette just has a different gear ratio.

Most 9 speed cassettes are compatible with 8 speed freehubs I believe but don't quote me on that

wow thanks greer, that was quick. the new one is also 8sp, just worried when I read the Sheldon Brown page about 11 tooth cogs needing a different free hub body due to clearance issues (ie hyperglide "c" rather than hyperglide).

    regards,

That's very old information, anything after the mid 90s you'll be fine.
