Footage of dangerous drivers

Hi everyone
I've got a helmet cam and I get so much footage of idiot drivers pulling out in front of me etc etc.
What's the best way of reporting drivers who are just plain dangerous to cyclists - especially if you have video footage of them in the act?
Cheers

Also, what is the conviction rate when you make a complaint with video evidence? I'm thinking of getting a camera but I hear too many stories of police not prosecuting even with strong video evidence so wounder if there is any point?0

If the vehicle has a company name on it then contact them with the link to the clip. I've done this with good driving and had positive responses from the companies involved and also had responses from companies where bad driving was shown. Youtube is the best medium for the footage as everybody knows of it and with the right titling for the clip it will soon be found when doing a google search.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

I too have often wondered what happens with all of those numerous clips that get posted on youtube etc. It seems a little pointless to me unless some sort of action gets taken against the driver which I am not sure ever happens.0

If you happen to be in London (Roadsafe), Sussex (Operation Crackdown) or Surrey (not sure what theirs is called) you can report antisocial/inconsiderate driving that's below the level necessary for a conviction with the police. They investigate further if they get enough reports about a certain car/driver, or send letters of warning, etc... If you're in one of those areas it would be worth forwarding footage on to them, too.0

IME the police do feck all. You send them a video of a driver clipping you then pulling in to knock you off your bike and punch you in the face, and they say there was nothing wrong with the driving and ask him to write a letter saying sorry. Or you give them a video of a driver going well over the speed limit, overtaking through a pinch point a couple of inches away from you and they say that there's nothing wrong with the driving. Or you get 3 witness statements supporting you after a driver almost hits you after pulling out of stationary traffic to turn right without looking or indicating, then tries to push you out of the way on the approach to a RAB, then left hooks you and they.......say there was nothing wrong with the driving.

Personally, I'd revise that value up a few percent - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturgeon's_Law0

My own experiences with the police have been awful, too. I've been hit twice and attacked once. The police couldn't have cared less in any of the instances and refused to hand over CCTV footage of my attack.
I'm really trying to find out if there's a more formal method of submitting camera footage rather than hoping someone might look at a youtube page.0 -

There's been quite a few convictions based on video's and those posted on Youtube by the perpetrator. See:
