2008 Zesty vs 2012 Zesty

I have a 2008 Zesty that is pretty battered. I was looking at the 2012 models and I quite like the specs of the 2012 Zesty. There seem to be a few changes, in the suspension as well as the geometry. Anyone ridden both? Do the changes translate into much of a difference in the ride? It's a big "investment" and getting a demo to ride is proving to be very challenging.
