Hi there,
I need advice on buying a AM bike from 150 - 160mm rear travel.
The main favorites are with special discounts:
Kona Cadabra (2012) = $ 2,760
http://www.konaworld.com/mtb_trail_allm ... nt=cadabra
Lapierre Sipcy 316 (2011) = $ 2570
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/lap ... e-ec024843
I have looked different and more expensive bikes:
Specialized Stumpjumper Comp EVO (2012)
Commencal Meta 3 AM (2012)
Orbea Rallon R50 (2012)
Canyon Strive (2012)
I love to ride uphill and downhill and I not care how fast I get to the top of the hill.
I'm a competitive guy and I ride for their own pleasure.
I prefer the lighter bike, but is not crucial, especially over type and performance of suspension.
Please write your comments and especially if there is any owner of Spicy or Cadabra.
Sorry about the bad English
Best Regards Marko

Here is a solid test of Kona Cadbara (2012):

Spicy, I hate Kona's... (sorry to all Kona owners)...
IMHO, a brand that has lost it's way... which is a shame as I loved them once...
Most modern Kona's (look up the Portuguese translation before you wear a t-shirt / hat / hoody to Portugal) seem to be heavier, cheaper made, poorly designed and just inferior to competitive manufacturers... BUT.... go to MTBR.com and type the Kona model in to see what people say that actually ride them and not opinionated people like me that hasn't sat on one since 2006... :0)
Or, better still, do the MTBR.com, ride them both, buy the one you feel is better (ride and value)...Ibis Mojo HD 2011 www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php? ... t=12842777
