Mondraker dune chain guide?

Hi,

Bought a 2011 dune. Superstar plasma chainguide (cheap and solid as it is) will not fit. Running a 36t chainring. The chainstay edge means fitting it at a stupid angle and then the top guide sits so far back its either useless or rubs the chain something horrid.

So, does anyone run it 1x9/10?

If so, what guide works well?

Not really looking for a silent guide (seen Barel using one on his Foxy). Also seen what looks like an E13 but cant make out which (or if it even is).

Most awkward new frame ever. Weird (exposed) cable routing means i need all longer hoses and cables and now this. Surely internal would be the ticket!

Anyway, i digress.

Cheers

What was wrong with double? Clearly 1x is proving to be hassle so you cant exactly say 1x is winning for simplicity terms...

Has the frame got iscg tabs? what type, 05 or old? I've just gone 1x10 on my enduro. Bought the wrong guide at first (05) so I'm selling that on ebay (I'll give you the link if you want). I went for the e13 lg1+. Seems pretty good to me and was easy to fit.

The only hassle is making sure what I get fits, as the one I had doesn't. That's one out of how many?
Will still suit me better to be 1x than 2x.

I've seen an lg1+ on a dune. Wanted to make sure its a straight forward fit though and not something proto (it was barrow bike after all).

If yours is the black 32-36 iscg 05 ending tomorrow........all over it already.

If anyone can confirm its fit though I'd be greatful.

    Cheers.

Pics so we can see the issue would help.

That's the one. I've had a look at some photos of the dune frame (2011 and 12) and it appears to have iscg 05 tabs, they look furter apart than the iscg old tabs on my endro but nowhere selling the frame seems to mention them in the spec. Fitting should be pretty straight forward. I had to use a hacksaw to remove the granny ring tabs off my chainset but then with one BB spacer and one (for each bolt) washer on the guide everything went together perfectly.

Yeah, its iscg 05. That's all ok.

My issue isn't anything more than the superstar one wouldn't fit because of the boomerang angles. The lower guide contacted the chainstay if I rotated it clockwise enough to get the upper guide positioned.

So, I need one that's a different shape. I know the lg1+ has 3 angle options so I'm assuming that is why its on barels bike.

Looking at images won't help anyone. I just wondered if anyone had fitted anything to either a foxy or dune. Something must fit or they wouldt have the tabs!
Tried emailing mondraker, and the UK distro, but no replies yet.

    Cheers.
