my 2012 giant xtc 2. made a few mods from standard, aiming to make it light but hard wearing.

fork - rock shox recon silver tk
stem - nukeproof warhead 60mm
bar - giant connect
saddle and post - giant connect
shifters - shimano slx 30 speed
front mech - shimano deore
rear mech - shimano xt shadow
brakes - shimano m666 slx, 180mm xtr rotor up front, 160mm standard rear rotor
wheelset - mavic xm317 rims on deore m525 hubs with red spokes
tyres - schwalbe nobby nic 2.1, tripple evo compound carcass

home made chainstay proectors and helitape where necessary.
