Road shoes!! (Gaerne, Giro or Northwave)

Hi have recently purchased a new road bike looking for some advice about shoes!

Have tried on shinamo and have to take a size larger than my normal shoe size so a 43 instead of a 42 due to width/length of my foot but the 43 is too large!
I fit my normal size in both Northwave and Specialized, 42.

Am interested in some Gaerne or Giro shoes I have seen on CRC and wondering how their sizing came up compared to these brands? And whether a 42 would be fine as I am only just a size 42.

Cheers!

Never tried Gaerne so can't comment. But my new shoes are Giro Factors. I have a size 45. Length wise the 44 is OK but they were too narrow for my feet. Below is what I take in the brands of shoes I've had so you can draw your own comparisons. As always best to try in a shop if you can.

    Giro - 45
    Bont - 43
    Shimano - 44
    Sidi - 45
