It means something if you're an enthusiast and you want it to mean something. People will buy a bike because of brand loyalty, some will buy a bike because they like the colour.

Sometimes I think we have to take a step back and remind ourselves it's only a bicycle.

It's def the people that think a certain thing about people with a certain type of bike that speaks volumes about them...

Doesn't matter what the make is, I always ride like a god.

Generally Dionysus, the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness and ecstasy.

Probably why I crash a lot.

For the top riders, I guess it says 'My Sponsor Makes Me Ride This Brand and I Get Results Either Way.'

Pretty harsh that. I think you need to include Ibis and Transition owners too..

Think that's probably a sweeping generalisation tbh :) Most Transition owners have a Navara or an L200.

Its a well known fact that anyone who owns a Whyte or Specialized, is the fckin nuts and owns all the women in the world.
  • I drive an Audi but it's old and beaten, plus I don't actually own a bike currently. Where do I fit in? :?

Dale Winton? He's pretty orange, he might not want any new mates though.

The brand of my bike says "it was the right price and right distance on ebay"

A bike brand is a bit of a joke anyway as often the frame is the only bit from the brand, I know mine is. Half the value of the bike (or in miy case most of it) is in the ancilliaries. My bike is technically a Specialized, but only 25% of my spend actually went on the Specialized bit, even less in fact if you exlude the Fox shock. If I'm defined by a brand then I have a massively split personality. Mind youm that could explain a few things....

Sorry. Maybe this should have been posted in crud catcher...

It isn't really a serious question.. Just a bit of light hearted stereotyping ;)

335d? I hear they have a gazillion torques...

IMO anyone who rides a bike is tit no matter what the brand. It's widely accepted that bikes are made purely for people to pose with and try to look cool while saying how gnarly and rad their lines are. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong and should be shot.

Where I lived in wolverhampton, it said of most people "I'm a thieving pikey rob dog and this was offered to me for 20 quid in the pub. Is it a specialized, is it an apollo? I don't care because I don't know the difference, but it was cheap and i'm not about to ask questions"

    I have a ragley and a specialized, it says the following things;

    I have a ragley
    I have a specialized
    I drive 2002 ford focus

Both bikes are ridden as hard as I can ride them and both throw me off due to lack of ability

If you buy a bike because of the brand alone you are a bellend
