Back in work after the weekend. Boo.

On a postive note - out visiting a company, which should be interesting indeed. Let's see if we ccan get any work out of it!

Onwards!

    Morning tosspots!

I'm officially on holiday!! Wooo :D Day of chores today, nothin much, but get it done now rather than later I think. My housemates girlfriend is in, which I'm not best pleased about. I want a week of not talking to people, is that too much to ask? Surely she can mope around her own home? Feck it, I'm not letting her ruin my week.

Hope you all have fun in work :P

    The 4 day week begins..

    Morning cornholes,

heading to Poland on Friday to catch up with my bro, to:
    A - drink
B - catch up on his wedding plans
    C - drink
    D - drink
E - shoot. Yep, Sunday, I will be playing with AK47's, screaming 'ALLAH AKBAR!!' (or whatever it is), whilst shooting a target, pretending it's your mum. Or fully mong.
    F - drink
G - Oh, and take his On One Scandal over for him, in what may be the biggest bike bag evaarrr.

    Enjoy your Monday children x

    Morning all,

I'm off work today so wondering what to do? Bacon is in the pan & the kettle on, so theres a start! I'll probably go down the gym in a bit and tidy up the house a bit before the other half comes home from work (maybe she won't be such a mardy bum if i've done some house work). I might even give the road bike a service seeing as the spring is nearly upon us and I might start using it again.

All this will go out of the window if 'Game of thrones' DVD turns up in the post!

    Morning Knuckle Draggers

Can't beleive Monday has come around so quickly.

Sunday was spent shopping. Somehow the mrs tricked me into buying a new sofa. I also spent what seemed like the best part of the day trudging around IKEA. Again I got tricked into spending more money than I actuall have. The upshot of that is that I also missed the football and rugby. And now she's wondering why I'm in a mood.

Anyway, work today will consist of waiting for my new laptop to be delivered. Until this happens I'm not doing a bloody thing. Apart from drinking coffee. Lots of coffee. Speaking of which the kettle has just boiled.....

    Greetings Maggots,

Well, Mehday it is.. busy watching The Walking Dead as I cannot log into the company VPN due to the Firewall undergoing maintenance.
Other than that, the day shall drag on with not too much productivity until the Firewall maintenance is done and dusted.

    Morning Working People ;-),

Had a good lie in to help ease the aches and pains from yesterdays downhilling effort at Cwmcarn. I also managed to get two cracking blisters on my thumbs which are bound to get a few 'double handed' jokes when people see them. May be a problem if I do need a Tommy Tank though :-)

Today will be spent hosing the mud off my bike and washing some very brown coloured bike kit, followed by some random jobs to keep out the way of the trouble 'n' strife. For now it's coffee and a quick peek at the redhead/blonde/dark haired lovelies thread before the commuter prudes get them banned (well done CWNT and Clank for sticking for the CC).

  • Morning Homos!

Went to physio this morning. I've been cleared for a return to road cycling. They still want me to spend a few months building up the muscles surrounding the knee before I return to MTB, as these are the ones that protect the ligaments etc.

Going to un-hook the Karma from the turbo tonight and stick the proper tyres back on, then try riding to work and back tomorrow. See how that goes.

Lovely day outside again today. Shame I'm stuck in the batcave again. Nontheles, it's a fantastic start to the week!

    CWNT,

Good news! I did lots of roadwork before returning to the trail, but my roadwork also included some mild singletrack too.
Every turn of the crank is a victory! Enjoy being back in the saddle!

Farkin distinct lack of minions today means I'm on my own til 6pm. Sacked 1 minion after she turned up for work after several too many vinos on Saturday. Losing another today after pulling a sickie for the weekend, but being daft enough to let people tag her in photos on facebook whilst out on the lash despite being 'far too ill to come to work.'

Supposed to be Monday and I haven't even got anyone to send for bacons - bigbagofwank.

But it did come with super sweet awesome sick pink elbow pads that you can see in the picture! They are so amazingly light, velcro would wreck them so they come with a hi-tech fixing device in trendy beige.

    Afternoon

Shoot day at work, very bored at the moment tbh, I want to open a shop, preferably a bike shop and not sit in an office! Grrr

Anyway, the weekend is only four days away!
  • ste_t - Nice bike, welcome to the Bionicon club. Is that the one that was up for sale in the classifieds here for AGES and the guy ended up dropping it to a silly price to get rid?

If so you've got a PROPER bargain there.

Oddly enough. I've been re-assesing my plans for the Edison today. I'm currently looking at the thick end of £700 to have the edison frame resprayed and the fork upgraded. Been speaking with Bionicon today and they've got this bad boy lined up for me if I want it...

    IMG_0696.jpg

It's a Reed 140, with a one-off paint job. Just waiting to see if they can do it for me as a frameset only deal then my Edison frame might be going up for sale at a greatly reduced price. I can see that with

Thanks, yeah thats the one. I paid not much more than I got for my Bfe frame so was an absolute bargain! That Reed is lovely though, how much are they touting that for? I do think the Edison looks great as it is, sure I've seen another quite similar somewhere though.....
