Colnago C40 seatpost

Hi, i just bought a new colnago C40 HP b-stay ,This is my 2nd C40 i have at home, it came with out a seatpost , i need to know does it take a 28.0 size seat post? The thing is i removed the seatpost out of my 1st colnago its a 28.0, but theres no way it will fit the new frame :x
is there any help to be had out there?
Is 28.0 the standard size for C40s

    My C40 is about 2004 and came with a 28.00mm seat-post.

    Have you measured the inside with Callipers?

    I wasn't aware that they still produced the C40 and even less certain that they did it in any size other than 28.00

    I was always on the assumption that C40s and C50 were all 28.0mm. Have you checked whether the seattube has been reamed or not?
    FWIW they stopped making C40s about 7 years ago when they introduced the C50 - sounds like yours is NOS.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
