Squeal from chain set/bb

Hey everyone, been out on 2 rides last couple of days and have noticed when pedaling that there is a screech/squeal coming from the chain set or bottom bracket! Anyone any ideas what this could be? It only happens when I'm pedaling.
If its a knackered bottom bracket anyone suggest a replacement? It's a shimano deore chain set that's currently fitted.

    Poor set up?

    Pedals?
    Anything work though it part by part.

    Cheers for the advise. I'll do as you suggest and work through each part and see if I can narrow it down!

    I just pulled off a set of old Wellgo flats that were making an unholy racket whenever they were under pressure.
