Hit my first DH race back in October and I've just gotten around to sorting through some of the pics my GF took. They're not all of me, but here's some good ones...

Looks like a fun fast muddy course?0

Nice one, where was the race? Looks like you could do with some better knee pads0
-
Yeah those knee n shine pads suck. But every set of knee pads I've had have been like Lennie Small - senseless migrants that cause more trouble than good. I've noticed some from Raceface and POC that look like they'd stay put better but, I'm not looking to buy until the summer maybe.
The course was insanely slippy that day, it's short and twisty so not much room to open up and let rip. That chicane berm was almost impossible to get around - almost everyone went down during practise, and luckily only a few during the race. Looking forward to the next races!0 -

It's in Lincolnshire believe it or not It's not really advertised as it's members only, and about the only decent thing for someone to session in the county.
Might try and get to the Guild races at Stlye Cop this year too.0 -
Ah really? Fair enough, I thought lincolnshire was flat as a pancake! How long was the track?
I definitely need to get on some more races this year, got the student champs coming up in a couple of weeks though, should be good!0 -
Yup flat as a steaming poo dropped from a great height and just as interesting. But this spot is on a rare hill - elevation is in the region of 60m and the track length is about 38 seconds. But, the RATZ lads have got 5 tracks off the hill and in down the otherside is a wicked set of shore and one of the largest wall rides I've ever ridden.
It's good for practise, though I've heard there's some stuff in Doncaster at Steetly Quarry, I'll be exploring there next0 -
(oh, it's a chicane, there's an almost identical one behind the photographer bending the other way.)0
