SRAM Chain Width
Hi
I was running a FSA Vero Compact Chainring, Miche 10 Speed Cassette, Campag Veloce Rear Mech and KMC DX10SC chain with no problem.
At the end of last summer I got a good deal on an SRAM Rival Compact Chainring and SRAM PG1070 Cassette (10 Speed). At the time I also thought I would get a new chain, so going with the SRAM theme I bought an SRAM PG1071 10 speed chain.
I came to fit everything today (after noticing wear on the KMC chain) only to find that the chain doesn't seem to move through the Xenon Rear Mech at all. It looks as if the SRAM chain is wider than my old KMC one. I can find on the net that the KMC chain is 1/2" x 11/128" but I can't find any width data on any SRAM chains, including on their own website.
Incidentally, I am guessing that 11/128 is the same as 3/32" when it comes to chain widths?
Is this a width problem or is it that wear on the jockey wheels on the REar Mech could be causing this?
Thanks in advance,
M
