I have a Scott Spark 40 fitted with an Ario 2.2R lockout. Whilst doing some work on the bike, I inadvertently pulled the rear lockout pin out of the shock. The internal damper pin has now activated so I cannot refit the remote lockout pin again. Unable to do it myself so went to LBS who said it had to go away. Prognosis is £60 for service plus probably £180 on top for a replacement damper ... ouch. The shock is perfect, other than that. Does anyone know a simple way to refit the pin (I can get the internal damper to retract with a screwdriver but then cannot refit the pin as the screwdriver is in the hole). Failing that, does anyone know anyone who can do it at reasonable cost. Finally, if not, I need to replace it with a rear shock with remote lockout. What do you recommend? All this due to a stupid mistake by me ..... aaaaargh
It's out there to be explored. Go do it.
