It was a mates Panasonic HM-TA1. Didn't realise you could get a full 1080p camcorder for under 60 quid but that is what that costs now.

I've just been riding round where I live, sometimes take the dog with me.

Local fields and the surrounding wood lands (lots of streams, rivers and Fords to ride in lol).
    Langtons Wood
    Weald Country Park
    Childerditch Wood
    Devils's Head Plantation
Pole's Wood (lots of big hills) near the 'Secret Nuclear Bunker', I reckon the hills are made from the earth extracted from the site for the Bunker. https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&gs_nf=1&cp=21&gs_id=x&xhr=t&q=secret+nuclear+bunker&pq=+extracted&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=817&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=QPdPT6ihNNDd8QPwgJXyBQ

All the above are in Brentwood,

    and Epping Forest, Epping.

  • Hi, I got the exact same bike two weeks ago. love it! The only problem is, The formula rx brakes has started to make a loud metallic turkey warbling sound, on the back brake. Ive sent the bike back today, but just tonight Ive been reading this is common with the rx model of brakes. Have you had this noise? If so , let me know please mate.
liking the carbon bars you put on yours, I got plans for this bike as soon as the wife has calmed down after finding out what i'd spent buying it! lol.

Formula rx are known for their volume... But they are grt breaks with good stopping power.
Came std on my cube ltd race and loving them.

I have had a bit of trouble too.

"metallic turkey warbling sound" Hmmm... does it sound like the rubber is being stripped from the tyre under braking? If yes then i have this too.

    also...

The front brake makes a sort of metallic click noise as soon as i pull the leaver, like a metal clip is not properly located. Both the front and back discs rub on the pads slightly too. I have made this better by by fiddling with the tension of the quick release leavers.

Also... The upgraded front Mech as let me down 4 times now by not moving up to the biggest front cog. I have no stand so have had to take it back to the shop 3 times now. VERY annoying.

Today i picked up a 1" thorn with defied the "protection" contis :(

Also the crank arm bolts came loose so i lost the anodised bolt :(

    Apart from that, lol.

Not sure about turkey warbling but the Rxs on mine make all sorts of noises from squealing to grinding. The grinding was solved by just sanding down the pads which had developed burrs on them. Did sound worrying like metal on metal at first. Great brakes though

It's a 20" frame. I'm 6ft and take a 34" trouser. I tried the 18" bike but it was way too small. It even looked small to the eye.

Crossmax SLR wheels. Always loved the look of these and when i saw them at a good price, well, i couldn't resist.

    frontwheelshot.jpg

Furious Fred running tubeless. Don't like the fact that you can't run them rock hard.

    furiousfred.jpg

Never really liked the Red Vault's so plumped for a pair in show chrome. Much nicer.

    pedals.jpg

Shimano SLX centre locking discs. With Alligator pads. No noise whatsoever now unlike the OEM Formula set up.

    KCNC bolts in the crank.

It looks like it's never been ridden. My bike looked that clean once, and once only.

Early days with the bars, literally just fitted today. Only ridden it for about half an hour. 30mm extra over my old bars certainly noticeable. Saddle does look like that in the pic but its actually very neutral. Don't like it pointed down.
  • Nice weenie bike! The Rx discs are famous for squealing, im glad the new rotors have solved the problem. If you keep getting that "ching-chinging" sound from the brakes when turning or jumping then take out the pads and stretch the spring - should solve it.

Its a good job you dont do dirt because id hate to be riding in this slop with those tyres! ;)

    Looks ace.

I've got the chance of buying one of these reduced to £1199. I was looking for something a little more trial orientated rather than XC, but it's a lot of bike for a fantastic price.
