My brother tells me when he fits his RS80 wheel into his SuperSix frame the smallest cog on the 10 speed cassette is so close to the frame the chain can't drop onto it - yet when he fits the same wheel in his Giant its fine - what's going on?

Different angle of the rear triangle... normally happens if your smallest sprocket is quite big... like a 14. In that case fit a cassette with an 11 or 12 sprocket, alternatively you need to add a spacer in the hub, 1 mm can be enough

I've seen frames where the chain has worn through the seatstay because of this - rider didn't appear to notice the noise either, but frame was effectively trashed.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
