Following medoramas's recent thread on the impact of bike commuting upon society, I was reminded of the Darwin Awards which as many of you will recall, commemorate individuals who protect our gene pool by making the ultimate sacrifice of their own lives: by eliminating themselves in an extraordinarily idiotic manner, thereby improving our species' chance of long-term survival.

A couple of my favourites are Bicycle Chain of Accidents, and Lawn Chair Larry.
