Hi there,

I want to upgrade my wheels on my planet x team alu sram red from the Shimano RS10 Clincher Wheelset 700C to something a lot more zippy yet durable. If you had £500-£700 what would you recommend? Don't need to spend all of it!

Fulcram racing 3's?

I'd be using my other wheels for commuting, and the new wheels for training and sportives.

I've heard a lot of good things about Harry Rowland and his excellent wheel building, tempted to get them done through him, but don't know what I should go for.

Thanks again.

Joe

  • Hand builts, PMP hubs (should be in your price range and apparently last very well) Ambrosio Excellights and however many spokes Harry Rowland or Wheelsmith recommend for your weight.

EDIT - If you can stretch to Chris King R45's then they're stunning (what I have on the race wheels).
