...if you can't really stretch out for a hope hub?
My less-than-trusty Mavic 317 on a deore hub which came with my Anthem isn't really doing too well, and it seems a perfect excuse for an upgrade!
I like building wheels, and the ones on my jump bike have stayed together pretty well so I can run pretty much any component without restrictions. I'm most likely going to run a Stans 355 rim which I hope will handle my 85kg doing trail centre/XC riding.
But the hubs I am stuck on. Hope is the logical option, the red would look ace on my black Anthem, but right now £120 is a little steep for me sadly.
So what decent alternatives? I'd like it to be light, preferably red, ideally noisy and most certainly NOT cup and cone (I know they are good but I cannot stand maintaining them).
Suggestions please?

Not particularly noisy though. Light enough, tough and comes in plenty of colours and axle options.0
