You do not need to change the rear hub. But of course you will need to change a lot of other parts!0

Thank you for your reply. I didn't think I did but LBS tried telling me on the phone without even seeing the bike that i had to upgrade/change the back wheel. to accomodate the new cassette. I know about all the other upgrades and am feeling quite proud of the fact that i have just bought a 10 speed Deore xt set which included a pair of shifters M780, hollowtech cranks + BB M770-10, a cassette M771, front derailer M781, back derailer M780 an xtr chain M980 for under £300.0
