Hi .. Wife has suggested we plan a cycling holiday this year. My son is 6. He has managed cycle round lake verwyyne last year. Do you guys have any suggestions as to where to go.

Thanks

  • Whether you want to tour or have a base to cycle from, the New Forest and North Norfolk are both good places for kids: lots of quiet roads and not hard to string together child-friendly length days. Always keep an eye on non-cycling things to do - you're not likely to keep a 6 year old happy if you just cycle! Further afield you can't beat Holland for family cycling. And to be honest, pretty much any where in France is great for cycling with or without kids, though I like Brittany...

Arm yourself with a trailgator bar (or childback tandem) for when they get tired or you're in traffic you'd rather not have them solo in.
