Late night fettling

Does anyone else sit up all night working on their bikes? I wouldn't recommend it. I took a hacksaw to a brand new xt chainset at about half three this morning. Not sure if it was my best idea but it helped. Also realised I had the wrong chain guide, my bike has iscg old not the 05 that I bought. Serves me right for not checking first but I thought it was a safe bet for a 2010 enduro to have the new standard. I used the supplied bb mount instead of putting my tools away and getting some sleep. Test ride at 5:30 am proved just how noisy a badly fitted chain guide can be. Ah well, live and learn.
I love horses, best of all the animals. I love horses, they're my friends.

Never ever assume anything. Very few bikes have ISCG 05.

Yes late night fettling can be good.
