Don't laugh, seriously considering building up a trike for a nefarious plan I have in mind - but the Pashley picadors are going for silly money.

Then I saw this;

What could do that to forks without seriously jeopardising the rest of the frame?
FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits

    A very heavy bell.....

    That looks a bit mental, you'd have to wonder about the integrity of the frame.

    ** are you planning to live in a 'chocolate box village' wear a flowery dress and hat, ride around with a basket full of roses or a little dog on the handlebars?

  • On topic, a heavy weight placed on the headset? An idiot who thought he could make a lowrider? I sincerely doubt one of those could travel fast enough for that to have been caused by a bike crash.

    It might have fallen off something? If you're not buying it I might :D

    A crash would push them backwards in any case - unless it's someone's misguided attempt to straighten them post-crash?

    Looks like a kink in the metal at the top - maybe had something dropped on it - lot of rust around the cassette as well

    How about an attempt to bend the fork to fit a smaller hub....

    I am guessing it had a heavy load applied. Lots of people piling aboard causing fork to bend and rear wheel to fail?

    This. The visible damage does make one wonder about what may not be visible.
