Feels good!
I came off on black ice a couple of weeks ago resulting in damage to my rear mech and mech hanger.
I'm usually really pants with mechnical stuff and remember not so long ago really worrying about getting a rear puncture and having to change tube, never mind anything more complicated.
Anyway, I thought I'd have ago at the repair myself and got it finished today - new rear mech, mech hanger, gear cables and brake cables (inners). Was all pretty straight forward, other than fiddly gear cable routing on Sram Rival shifters.
Know it's not much, but it's a great feeling knowing you can fettle your own bike!
Just thought I'd share my smugness...

Well done and it is a good feeling to fix something yourself - want to prolong it by coming round and fixing mine as well?0
