Try not to forget that CRC are based in Northern Ireland where it often takes longer to get items into the country from the mainland,I see no reason why the opposite wouldn't be true.

    Also.
If you order before 3pm Monday-Friday and all your items are in stock, we aim to provide same day dispatch
  • if the free delivery service isn't quick enough, ask for your postage payment back

Still not the point though. The issue isn't the time it takes RM to get the stuff across a stretch of water.

    This is the issue...

    Okay, so they aim.

Fair enough. In my experience they have failed in that aim every single time. A few times they've needed prompting a week later and they give some weak excuse just as suddenly the order ships. Hmm. And none of my orders have fallen into their list of typical reasons for delay.

I just say they should get rid of the "same day dispatch" advert. It's no better than me saying I'll aim to turn up for a ride at 10am, as everyone who rides with me knows I fail :D

Which happens without fail. So DK time is similar to CRC time.

An aim isn't a definite,it's clever wording. People just want to whinge for the sake of whinging imo. If you need something in such a hurry that their delivery system is too slow for you or theres a chance it won't arrive within the hour, you'd probably be better going to a LBS no?

Ordered from them again yesterday lunch time (only place I can find five tens) no hurry for these but as usual they did not manage to dispatch the same day so no way they would achieve next working day.

Can people not be so rude to the OP, who posted a legitimate question? I would be annoyed too if they continually failed, free postage or not. Post with a bit of respect please, if you disagree with the complaint, do it constructively.

CRC are big time hit and miss for me. Sometimes I order stuff really late and I get it the next day. Sometimes I pay for fast delivery, they take 2 days and send me the wrong item, and sometimes (like my currently outstanding order) they take 3 days to process it.

They are cheap and convenient though, but sadly for me, rather unreliable and unpredictable

I have always been pleased with CR, ordered some bits Thursday night not expecting them until Monday and they came saturday morning

I have noticed a severe drop inthe Haribo hit rate though.

  • I don't think I've ever had Haribo from CRC. It's wiggle and superstar who do haribo (as well as a few others). CRC do things like those hydration tabs, money off vouchers etc.

    It must be me

I placed another order on Friday at 11am as of a few minutes ago it still hadn't been shipped (five tens) despite being in stock on Friday when order was placed, Monday when I checked and today before I rang.

Rang CRC summary of conversation was - item is in stock it hasn't been yet picked, it might go later today but might not and may go tomorrow...

CRC aren't as good as they used to be. In the past I'd often order stuff on a thursday, knowing it'd be here friday and ready for the ride on the weekend. Sadly they don't seem to be as prompt at dispatch these days, so i'll go elsewhere if its something i need urgently.

I paid CRC for 48hr delivery on Monday, on Friday evening i got home to 2 emails, one notifying me of a refund and the other telling me 2/3rds of my order wasn't available. That's pretty poor in my books.
  • Ordered my new tyres and a few other bits on Wednesday, still waiting so will probably be here tomorrow. Smaller packages sent 1st class have usually arrived quickly but bigger stuff they send by Parcel Force which is like asking Gary Glitter to babysit.

Ordered tyre this afternoon. Got confirmation. Couple of hours later got an email to say it's been dispatched. Wait to see if it arrives now I suppose.

I've never had any issues with them though, normally had most stuff arrive within 48hrs or so.

I did notice on my last order that at the checkout it said "No delivery estimate is available" (ordered late last night)

Aye that's what happened to my last order (in Edinburgh too).

Took about 4 days if I remember rightly, they went for the old trick of sending the dispatched email after the package had arrived. Outstanding work.

As I wasn't in a rush this was fine!
