Having lost, run over, and drowned my iPhones I have come to the conclusion that no mount is good enough so I got one of these http://www.over-board.co.uk/catalogsear ... /?q=iphone and simply put the phone in my pocket or camelbak.

However if you ride fairly gently then this was the best one IMO

I wasn't going to say anything, but this sounds like a bad idea...

Ditto, stick the phone in your bag although I'm cheap so just put it in a plastic bag.

I found a bag OK if I wasn't messing with the phone but not so good if I actually wanted to check/use the phone in the rain...and I do like to check my phone.

I bought a ten pound one of eBay. It was phone holder that adjusted and the phone clipped in. I wanted it as a camera mount and came with no hole for the lens. I drilled a 5mm hole through the plastic. Clipped the phone in and fastened a tie zip round for extra security. Never had a problem and got some wonderful HD footage on a black trail!!!!

The touch screen works fine through the bag (resealable) even with summer gloves on if I've got a sweat on and if not then a lick of the finger does the trick. It's not perfect though as the bag will eventually get little holes in it so I may get one of those pouch jobbies.
  • I'm now on my 2nd mount having had one that just wasn't good enough as it would fall off over very bumpy surfaces (I lost the phone at Llandegla before it was returned by the rider about 10mins behind who found it).
I use Memory Map on the phone so like it on the bars for navigation reasons when out in the local forests.

    I currently have this one

which has only come off when I hit a tree, I've bailed from the bike and the bike has then bounced down the trail and the phone was still attached when it eventually stopped. Also been caught in heavy rain and no water got in.
