if it does what YOU want then YOU get it.
I thing it is ugly and pointless."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

....and I have to agree with Nick.
Although I'd still like to try one just to see if it rides as bad as it looks.
If I lived in an apartment, I'd be looking for creative storage solutions rather than silly bikes. There are MANY MANY people on here who kep "real" bikes in apartments.
The only folding bike I'd consider at the moment is this one:

I do live in an apartment; with my wife, 2 cats and three bikes. A folding bike has never even crossed my mind. With the bike linked to, after removing the wheels, you're realistically only lopping 40-ish centimetres off it whilst also paying much more for much less. If those 40cms are really importantto you though...
This is the only thread I've ever found that's dedicated to storing bikes in apartments (it's in Swedish, but there are plenty of pics for inspiration): http://happymtb.org/forum/read.php/1/483001/page=10 -
A quick look at the original link shows that you take the wheels off to get it fully shrunk down to size - if you're going to do that, any bike without mudguards will run it close for ability to fit in limited storage space.
As for our Swedish friends - I can't remember when I was last so impressed by a nation. Here's a bunch of people who know how to treat their bikes like members of the family!Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015

It's also silly expensive for the mediocre kit.I don't do smileys.

I hava managed to store a Giant Trance under a double bed, with pedals fitted but wheels removed & also stashed under the bed.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

absolutely nowt wrong with folders. i use a Brompton for work....take at all over the country and it is the best fun ever dodging through traffic. i also have a couple of other proper bikes but i use the Brompton most weekdays.
I wouldn't buy a folder just because of a lack of space though. Each bike is designed for its own purpose.
love my Brommy thoughRobbroo0
