    Not meaning to hijack this thread. But is it really compulsory to have the rear red reflectors that come with your bike on? I read on cyclecraft the other day that it is compulsory for the rear ones to be on the bike.

    Front one and the ones on the wheel though are not compulsory according to the book.

    In the highway code, the word 'must' means it's required by law.

    It says I also need to have amber ref's on the pedals. Mine didn't come with them.
  • Rule 60 starts with "at night" in the first sentence - does that not mean the whole of the rule only applies at night?

    Googling about , I find the CTC have an interesting page on the subject - IANAL so I assume it's reasonably accurate.
