Anyone Running Non-UST Racing Ralphs Tubeless?

Thinking about going tubeless soon.

My rims are tubeless ready, but my rear tyre, a Schwalbe Racing Ralph, is not. Front is tubeless compatible and should work a treat.

Hoping I can hear from someone with experience of this before I start pouring in sealant and hoping for the best!

Please let me know if there's anything I should watch out for. Will give tape, rims, tyres etc a good clean before starting and all that. If you have any tyre recommendations then I'd be happy to take them on board.

Cheers.

Yep; Ralphs, Rons, Nics, Freds and Black Sharks, all older non-tubeless ready models, all seal on my Crests, Olympics and Podiums with a track pump.
  • Nice one. Cheers!

Remove the valve core, helps to get air in quick enough to set the bead as well.
  • Same here have always run non ust nics and Ralph's no probs.

Cube ltd race 2011.....enjoying the grt outdoors no matter the weather (except snow I just can't move in the snow)!
  • What pressures are you running them at? I usually run 25psi rear and about 20-23psi on the front. Can I go lower with tubeless tyres?

I don't use them but I've heard the non-UST Ralph's burp pretty easily at low pressures, guess depends on your own weight and riding style as well.

I've never burped any of them @ 11 stone. I tend to run similar pressures CY, have gone lower, but find they can squirm a bit too much.
  • Cheers njee20, I'm at the same weight, but I don't think I ride as hard as you so I should be alright.

Watch this space though. I'll see you on my tubeless setup at Gorrick in April if you're racing there!

I May well show up! I'll do the Gorrick 100 for sure. Ralph's are spot on for that terrain, good choice!
