Im quite new into mountain biking, and this year want to plan some riding somewhere other than my local trail and countryside.
Im quite interested in scenic rides aswell as good trails. Lakes, mountains, countryside, just somewhere that makes you stop and take in the view.
Anyone got any reccomendations, and any pictures of the view?

  • Gotta be the Lakes... although Afan had some lovely views.

One of my personal faves of me and the Boardman up the top of Whinlatter.

  • Thanks for the replies and pictures, every single picture shows exactly what Im looking for!
Most of these places are quite far away from me (Peterborough) so I would make a few days of it. Does cyclist friendly accomodation let you keep your bikes in a secure garage or anything like that?

yeah some places will have lock ups and stuff for you to store your bikes in, just check before you go.

i used to work away alot and i have know some hotels to keep my bike in the left luggage store for me - as long as it was clean

On a Sunny day like that it could have been taken in the Lakes/Wales or Scotland 8) the views would be pretty much as good from any high mountain trail happy0034.gif
