Anybody been able to buy a CAAD 10 on a frame only basis and if so how much did you pay ? I should add that I am in the UK so would be looking to buy through a dealer here.

  • Cannondale stuff - it's a sellers market for that unf. They can barely keep up with bike demand and the margins are higher on that so good luck getting a frame.

Giant and Spesh OTOH feature frames-only in their catalogues and have a set retail prices for them. Cannondale has always been harder to come by, be it Hollogram cranks or Coda hyraulic brake spares. I know b/c I want a 54cm Hi-mod SuperX frameset and they're like hen's teeth.

All you can really do is call a retailer you trust not to give you a run-around. Or search for a used frameset.
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.

Reckon it would cheaper to buy a complete bike that is discounted somewhere and sell the bits.

I was going to post about splitting a complete bike....I have a caad 10-105.....which was available at less than £1k recently.....before i bought it last year I was looking for a caad 9 or 10 frame......I recall a couple of popular size, as in 54-56 frames going through ebay around the £550-600 mark......I thought this was a lot of money, compared to what you could pick a bike up for..

Agree with Porker. I'd like a CAAD 9 in 105 but the 2009/2010 prices on Ebay are still £600-£700 !!!!!!
Bit much considering a CAAD 10 could be had for £1K.
    I'll keep looking for a 54/56.....
