i have some sektor r 150mm forks fitted as std to my specialized pitch comp 2011 (med) that i find quiet soft up front and having trouble with ride hight and want to firm it up a bit and possibly fit some damper upgrade like motion control as for some reason there is no turnkey as in the bike spec?.
from what i can tell the springs come in codes colours that denote what rate thay are so i was thinking thay would be painted? eg. yellow=soft, red=med, blue=firm, black=xfirm etc the chart says i need red or blue for my 80-82kgs.
mine dont have any paint on the top of them and what looks like black bands of heat srink for anti chafing when i removed the top cap and pushed the fork all the way down to expose the spring so what does that make it? silver=xsoft?
i need to find out what i have before i go buying what i already have :x

Pretty sure is a Red ie Med as standard. They are known to be quite soft.
Another upgrade route is to fit the solo air cartridge.0 -
Will be red as SS says I have 160mm Domains and use the black spring and my weight is 82kg but I like the forks firm.0
