Routes on ridgeway around compton/ Easy Ilsley

Just wondering if people have any good routes around aldworth/compton/Ilsley's area on the Ridgeway? Ones that are relatively unrutted so they can be done at night would be nice. Naturally i could just go off exploring, which i will do, but I've found a fair few (ok one or two as i've not done alot of riding) of the tracks off the ridgeway are pretty dodgy to ride due to overuse by 4x4s.

    anybody go riding out at night on the ridgeway? chatted to a few people who ride from chilton to aldworth for a pint once. other than that it seems all quiet out there at least on the nights i've been out.
