Brakes needing a pump after bike being on side

Hi Everyone
I've recently installed new brakes (Shimano M785). I've also shortened the hoses (without bleeding). The brakes felt good, solid and general really happy. I've gone out for a few rides and I'm reasonably confident that they are now bedded in. Last w/e I put the bike in the car and laid it down on its side when I got to a car park near the trails I got the bike out and pulled the brake levers and they came all the way back to the bar. After pumping them a couple of times they appear solid and fine again. Just a bit disconcerting. Do I need more fluid in the system? Anything to worry about?
Thanks.

sounds like either air in the system or your pistons have not settled yet and they are just moving a lot after no use.
next time see how far the pistons have to move."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Nothing to worry about, mine do this when i turn my bike right way up after it being upside-down, it's just a bit of air in the system.0
