can anyone advise me here i never come across this one before..

the misses started a new job today. so need to cycle to commute back and to to work..
so on sat i serviced my old 06 rocky mountain vertex hard tail and set it up for the daily commute, reindex gear straighten bent mech hanger strip and regrease the head set, fix a pucture put pedals on ect. just give it a general once over.. everything was fine apart from the rear wheel..

so here's the problem the wheel spins true no wobbles side to side it's perfectly straight.. but it wobbles up and down quite bad, when the bike was in the work stand and i spun the pedals it so bad the whole bike shakes even the stand.. if you lift the rear wheel off the ground and push the pedals hard you can fel the bike moving and see the wheel spinning and moving up and down as it spins..
the wheels are the stock alex dp-17 rims onShimano FH-M475 hubs..

any sugestions is it fixable if so how ? or is it fubar and needs repalcing...
thanks...

Check if I is the rim or the tyre.
If the rim it needs sorting. Same as a wobble if the tyre try reseating it again.

If its not the tyre, which it probably is, check the skewer.

Not sure a skewer can ever do that!

I'll bet the tyres is seated off centre, if it's not then your into a major wheel truing, especially if the rim is no longer round, it took me 3 months of riding (once a week) and 4 truing sessions to work a ding out of my daughters rear wheel, pulling in either side while running almost no tension on the ding as it slowly worked it's way out, just adding tension each side wasn't doing anything to it!
