Paint restoration
I’ve got a lovely Columbus SLX Italian frame from the mid 80s which I’m planning to restore to its former glory. The paint is generally in excellent condition with only the top tube and bottom bracket shell needing attention. It’s a Moser, and the name/artwork on the down tube and seat tube are painted on rather than using stickers. Is it possible to get only the top tube stripped and repainted, to keep the original paint on the majority of the frame, or would the whole frame need stripping and starting again? Obviously matching the colour would be a problem with the first option. Can anyone recommend a paint shop that does “specialist” restoration? Thanks
